The association offers the rental of its sailboat KEA, located at the port of Minimes in La Rochelle. KEA is a sailboat that offers all the necessary comfort to explore the Atlantic coast for a long weekend or a longer stay. The SUN FAST 32i is known for its excellent maneuverability and its ability to sail upwind. KEA is no exception to this characteristic and is particularly efficient in navigation. In addition to the essential fittings and safety equipment (life jackets, lights, etc.), KEA has the following equipment: - sea water, fresh water - refrigerator and gas cooker - 220V sockets (at the port) and USB - full mooring and inflatable annex Since KEA is rented without a skipper, it is necessary to have a good knowledge of monohull cruising sailboats: preparation (checking levels, rigging sails, etc.), navigation (hoisting/lowering the sail, taking a reef, etc.) or risk management (man overboard, etc.). All rental income is used to maintain and improve the boat. Among the works carried out this winter 2023/2024, we can mention: - new sails (genoa and mainsail) - new lazybag and lazyjack - complete fairing - engine overhaul After validation of the reservation, you will receive the rental contract and the welcome booklet which details everything there is to know about KEA! Welcomed in a way that was as friendly as professional with a sincerity that I cannot doubt. Super accommodating and very involved at all levels (explanations, advice, programs). In navigation, Kéa proved to be flawless with impeccable maintenance, almost new sails. Really, I am super happy with this experience which without such a good boat (safe, reassuring, etc.) and such a welcome could not have had the same flavor! To be repeated very soon!
Great week spent aboard Kéa, it’s a very pleasant boat which is perfect for visiting around La Rochelle. The logbook is very complete, which makes it easier to get started, and the Bachibouzouk team is very contactable. There are a few small repairs to be made at the end of the season, but nothing very serious. I highly recommend
Super cruise aboard Kéa, the Sun fast holds the sea well, very well maintained and responsive at the helm!
Good boat, well balanced, which allowed us to tack pleasantly in the medium wind of our week's rental. Very good exchange with Julien who was able to give all the information and remained available. There are a few points to review on the boat, normal given that we are coming to the end of the season. We will not hold it against given the price level!

Excellent weekend on Kea! It's really a pleasure to sail on this sun fast which has lived up to its reputation. Comfortable and fast. The surroundings of La Rochelle are really a great playground! Communication with Vincent was very easy. Good luck !
An unforgettable weekend aboard the Kea boat with Bachibouzouk! We recently rented the Kea boat through the Bachibouzouk association for a weekend in the Pertuis d'Antioche, and it was an exceptional experience. The Kea is a responsive, reliable and fast boat downwind. Nicolas, our contact at Bachibouzouk, was very available. We would love to sail the Kea again.

A big thank you to the Bachibouzouk association for allowing us to experience strong moments on Kea. The latter proved to be very responsive at the helm, reliable in heavy weather and quite fast downwind. Alain, our contact at Bachibouzouk, is very available. The only downside is that the gas cooker produces a kind of black soot that is quite difficult to clean. The absence of a lazybag is sorely felt when you have to reef or lower in heavy weather. In any case, it is with pleasure that we would go back to sailing on Kea.
Rental went very well, Kéa is a very seaworthy, swift and well-balanced sailboat. The association is very accommodating and attentive, I recommend!
Very good weekend aboard Kea The boat is fully functional and a good walker, the navigation equipment (touch pad) is very practical. The association that manages the boat takes care of it, and is very responsive.
Very friendly contact and always available (tel). The Sun Fast 32i is very pleasant: stiff under sail (=it goes very well in light winds), it is also easy to steer and maneuver. Beautiful navigations in the Pertuis d'Antioche which allows a great diversity of activities.
Asso super friendly and responsive. Fast and pleasant boat at the nav. Equipment and boat not as new as at a pro - the interior is showing its age. No electric windlass. I bp love Kea!
Members of the association very nice and accommodating! The boat is very good, despite a few small details which I'm sure will be ironed out this winter before it becomes a problem! They have just started the rental of the boat. To redo
I spent 3 days with the family on this boat which gave me complete satisfaction. You will appreciate in port the very spacious aft cabin for a 32-footer, and at sea the very functional cockpit for a 2004 boat, even with a reduced crew! The association owning the boat is very serious, and will not fail to answer your questions, for my part, Nicolas was contactable throughout my stay. Good sailing!
Perfect for a 3 day weekend. The team is super welcoming and accommodating. The boat is very seaworthy, goes upwind very well and is in good condition. Mooring lines a little better arranged and it's 5 stars.
A general overhaul of Kea seems essential at the end of the 2023 season. Friendly association, good contact although no one was on site to take charge of the boat.
Terrible experience, the boat did not have a sail as was the case with sailboats. We were asked to pick it up and set it up without help (with 2 young children). We mutually agreed to end the rental early because the boat couldn't sail and they then refused to refund the money we agreed to. They are dishonest and I will abstain from them!
KEA is a good sailor, responsive and progressing well. We sailed a weekend in La Rochelle and the Ile d'Oléron with four people in 4-5 winds and rain. As mentioned in other comments, some difficulties related to maintenance. A very detailed welcome booklet is provided, which makes getting started easy. The members of the Bachibouzouk association are available in case of questions. Good luck to the association in this adventure!
Kéa an associative boat with the spirit that goes with a warm welcome and easy access. We sailed for two days between the Ile d'Oléron port of Boyardville and the Ile de Ré port of Saint-Martin near 4 p.m. from Naves over the weekend and demonstrated both ardent and reassuring. Comfortable in all gaits, we really had a good time. Like any associative Basto there are always points to improve but the whole experience was just top!!
Great weekend around the islands aboard a very pleasant sailboat that works very well. No bad surprises despite a not very young boat, the essentials are there to navigate safely and have a good time. Exchanges and relationship of trust very much appreciated with the association. THANKS.
Attractive boat but not maintained. The equipment is missing or inoperative (broken stick joint, no sail sail to haul the mainsail, two reefs too short, hull not very clean, old and not always functional cam cleats, tired sails, inactive electronics, borderline cleanliness). Friendly welcome but by phone only. Too bad, it's a very good boat that would require significant maintenance for its upgrade.
Very seaworthy and efficient boat, the partners who manage it are friendly and responsive. There are still some improvements to be made, very large aft cabin.
A good boat to enjoy the tiller and fine tuning. Top team coordination and confidence. Some work unfortunately for you at the end of the season with some harmless hazards experienced, so that it is on top. The handbook, received in advance and available at the chart table, is top notch. Full equipment. I'll go back to Kea
Owner friendly and available! The boat is still a little rustic and some equipment does not work perfectly, but it is very pleasant to navigate.
