You can sail further down the coast to see the Natural Park of L’Albufera, 25,000 hectares of protected land. One of its ecosystem is L’Albufera, Spain’s largest freshwater lagoon and an important conservation area. It is surrounded by marshes and paddy fields.
If you’re looking for a longer adventure, you can cross over to the famous Ibiza island, and from there explore the Balearic Islands. This archipelago is made up of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. They are known for their scenic coastlines, secluded beaches, and idyllic coves. With many marine reserves around the islands, it’s the perfect place for marine fauna and flora observation. The cuisine of the island is a mix of Catalan, Mediterranean and Spanish cuisines. Specialities include Sobrassada, a pork sausage, and lobster stew.
