Sail 2025 from August 15 to August 25 and also Amsterdam 750 years! We sail with sailing yacht Swaene. During the Pre-SAIL we sail towards the ships on the North Sea so that you can take pictures of these ships on the high seas. We also sail along the harbor where the already moored ships can be photographed. Snacks, drinks, dinner are among the possibilities. During the SAIL-In we sail towards the ships at the North Sea locks and sail with them towards Amsterdam IJhaven. During the SAIL days in the Oranjehaven (IJ-haven) is the heart of SAIL, here the international Tall Ships are moored. We sail past it, enjoy a snack and a drink and during the evening trip we watch the fireworks. The type is a Norman 41. It is a very robust and stable ship with a lifting keel with bulb!; Very comfortable sailing due to the heavy bulb keel and the lifting keel allows you to anchor or sail in shallow waters. You can sit outside in the spacious sheltered cockpit. The deck saloon also allows you to enjoy the view indoors in the rain or cold. Roland is the owner of the ship the Swaene and also the instructor. In his younger years he sailed in the merchant navy as a Marine Engineer. There he obtained his Large Merchant Shipping Diplomas. Roland has experience on various oceans. * due to the sailing/traffic conditions, parts of the waterways may be temporarily closed by the government.
