This 40ft First 40.7 is a fully equipped offshore race yacht yet is a comfortable cruiser down below. With both race and cruising sails, the yacht is well set up for more adventurous sailing, and has recently returned from a transatlantic circuit to the Caribbean. We sail fast, sail well and explore some of the cruising grounds off the beaten track. The West Coast of Scotland will be our base for 2021, and we look forward to exploring the islands and stunning scenery of this famous sailing area. The West Coast of Scotland is always known as one of the finest sailing areas in the World, come and explore it with us! We will be based in the Clyde, then round the Mull of Kintyre to the islands of Gigha Islay and Jura before heading up to Oban and Skye, Lews and Harris. Each leg will have lots of sailing and plenty of time to explore ashore and experience the seafood and perhaps even the whisky of the islands! Send us a message on Scansail for further information

Always wanted to race offshore? First Offshore bridges the gap between RYA school boats and the hot shot race boats in the RORC fleet. Our crew is made up of enthusiastic weekend sailors looking to race on a competitive boat whilst recognising that they don't yet have the experience or offshore knowledge of a seasoned offshore racer. The boat is run on the basis that everyone gets involved, everyone is aware of our race strategy and gets experience of all the crew positions. Most have certain roles they specialise in, and we partner experienced with less experienced racers to learn on the racecourse as well as on our training sessions.
