Boats Reviews

Had the best time ever! Went fishing and caught a bunch of fish which Theadore knew the hot spots. Checked out the swimming pigs too. The conversation while we were fishing was the best part. His helper kept my son entertained too, they both knew so much history of the island and pointed out the rich and famous houses while we were cruising by, couldn’t have asked for a better time. Well worth every penny. We even got to eat our catch that the Poop deck cooked up for us. Great way to end our trip. I recommend Theadore to anyone wanting to go out and experience a little bit of everything on a boat.

A holiday to remember: A catamaran Rent in The Bahamas

If you’re looking for the perfect holiday escape, look no further than the unmatched destination of The Bahamas, an island state in the West Indies just off the tip of eastern Florida. This archipelago consists of more than 2,000 islands, islets, and cays to discover, and there’s no better way to see the very best of The Bahamas than with a catamaran charter.

There is something for every type of traveler. For a family holiday, sail to Grand Bahama and for active nightlight go to Nassau, the country’s capital.

With a catamaran charter in The Bahamas, you’ll have enough space and amenities on board to accommodate all of your needs, as well as those of family and friends. Go island hopping in The Bahamas in a comfortable catamaran and see everything, and more. What are you waiting for?

How much does it cost to rent a private catamaran in The Bahamas?

If you are hoping to rent a catamaran in the Bahamas you should keep in mind that the price will depend on several factors such as the time of year, the number of people on board, and how long you’ll be sailing. Because we offer vessels with or without a skipper, this can also affect the price as having a skipper on board is typically more expensive than a bareboat.

On average, a catamaran rent in the Bahamas costs about £14,439 / week in the high season and £5,501 / week in the low season for 12 people on board.

Enjoy the perfect sailing experience in The Bahamas with a catamaran charter

Climate

Not sure what time of year to charter a catamaran in the Bahamas? The Bahamas has a tropical savannah climate which is characterized by warm weather year-round in addition to a wet and dry season. The best time for a charter in the Bahamas is during the dry season, which extends from December to June. The peak season in the Bahamas is between December and April with April being the sunniest month!

Temperature

Due to its tropical climate, The Bahamas has a fairly consistent and pleasant temperature year-round with an average annual temperature of 26°C. During the summer months, the temperature is hotter and can increase to over 30°C.

Precipitation

Rainfall is quite frequent in The Bahamas, especially during the wet season from July to December. It rains an average of 134 days per year and humidity rates are about 76%. But even amid rain, there are still plenty of beach days!

Winds

The Bahamas experiences average wind speeds of 3 or 4bft year-round but because of its location, there is a strong possibility of hurricanes during the stormy season which spans from June to November. A catamaran is an excellent choice of vessel for a location such as The Bahamas as it is double-hulled, typically more stable than other types of boats, and less likely to sway during a storm.

Attractions in BVI

There is so much to see and do on your sailing vacation in The Bahamas. For thrill-seekers who long to travel to the depths of the ocean, there are few places more enticing than The Great Abaco Island. For beaches with unique, pink-hues, you can sail to Eleuthera and sunbathe on rose-colored sands.

Pig Beach

And of course, no yacht charter vacation to The Bahamas is complete without a stop on the uninhabited island of Exuma. Here you can see the iconic Big Major Cay also known as “Pig Beach”.

You can swim with the adorable piglets and watch them play and paddle in the water. These are just some of our favorites, but there’s still so much more to do.

Blue Lagoon Island

Going to Blue Lagoon Island, a former hideaway for pirate buccaneers and training ground for divers during WWII. Now Blue Lagoon Island is famous for blinding white sands, coconut palm groves, and dolphins! That’s right, take your catamaran charter to this enchanting lagoon to swim with some of the world’s most intelligent mammals.

Spending a day with the family at Paradise Island Water Park, a top-rated attraction for the whole family to enjoy.

Lucayan National Park

Experiencing the natural wonder of Lucayan National park and seeing the diverse landscape of swamps, beaches, and forests full of pine trees. Uncover the mystery of the intricate underwater cave systems which are some of the largest of their kind to exist on the planet. Here you can spot bats, jungle creatures, and birdlife in the incredible ecosystem.

Meeting stingrays in the shallow waters of Half Moon Cay and getting up close and personal with these extraordinary creatures while watching them interact with their natural habitat.

Diving in the azure waters around Andros and discovering the kaleidoscope of marine life. Here you can see the third largest barrier reef on the planet as well as shipwrecks, blue holes, and speckled scorpionfish all in one go!

The Bahamas is a destination full of wonder and excitement, and there’s no better way to see it than with a catamaran rental. Sail around the archipelago and unearth the treasure of the Caribbean for a truly unforgettable holiday.

Should I opt for a catamaran charter in The Bahamas with or without a skipper?

In your search for a catamaran rental in The Bahamas, you’ll find that there are options for a charter with or without a skipper. Although a skipper usually comes at an extra cost, there are many benefits to having one present on board throughout your Bahamas sailing adventure as opposed to a bareboat charter.

Skippers are sailing experts and handle all of the navigation logistics, in good weather and bad. Relax on the boat while your skipper anchors and moors the vessel. Sail in safety with a crewed catamaran and listen to them as they explain the history and culture of the islands. For a luxurious and unforgettable holiday in The Bahamas, get your boat rental with a skipper and crew!

Where else can I travel near The Bahamas with a catamaran rental?

If you’re planning to rent a boat in The Bahamas for a few weeks, you have plenty of time to sail along the Atlantic Ocean and visit other islands like Turks and Caicos. If you want to venture more toward the Caribbean, you can go to Cuba, Barbados, or Jamaica. The longer you charter, the more possibilities you have to experience the diversity of landscapes, wildlife, and cultures in the archipelago!
